Excerpt:
Once we were seated again, he growled a response to the one word question I had just asked, “Don’t get the big head. I didn’t say you were perfect,” Now, that was the old Lobo I remembered.

“One other thing,” he continued. “At the exact moment you create Frozen Time, you also create a bubble around yourself of about six feet in diameter. Anyone within that bubble, just as I was, is automatically excluded from the phenomena, after a short lag time of a few seconds. That is unless you wish it to be otherwise. Eventually, you will be able to include or exclude anyone within that bubble by simply intending it to happen.”

Looking at the timeless world all around me, and listening to old Lobo talk, really made my mind spin. As I tried to make sense of it all though, one question kept coming up so I had to ask it. “OK, there’s still one thing I still don’t understand. Just … exactly how and when would I use this ability?”

From looking out at the motionless traffic on San Marco, Lobo turned his head and fixed me with one of his most intense and fiery stares. “You’ll know when the time comes,” he said. “You’ll know.”
